What To Expect

BEFORE the SESSION

First thing I will do once you've decided you're ready to book is send you a questionnaire. This will give me the opportunity to get to know you and your family a little better and decide on a location that works best for you. The more I know, the better I can serve you and customize your session to you individually. We will then decide on a location.

Next, we will go over styling for your session. After getting feedback from past and present clients, I learned that planning outfits is what stressed a lot of my clients out the most when preparing for their session. My goal is to eliminate that stress by helping you style your family. You will have access to my client closet and I will send ideas as well as links to purchase items as well.

DURING the SESSION

I want your session with me to be an experience. Come out expecting to just play and snuggle one another. I will give gentle prompts as well as some playful prompts. While I will get a few all smiling and looking at the camera shots, please plan to capture memories. Such as the way your little girl wrinkles her nose when she laughs or the way your little boy has such an adventurous spirit. I want to capture the love between you and your family. Don't stress about your family creating the "perfect Instagram" picture. There is such a beauty in real authentic moments, and I plan to embrace those.

MANAGING little ONES

Making sure the kids are comfortable is key. Ensuring that they are wearing light weight clothing in the summer and plenty of layers during the winter as well as allowing them to just play will go a long way. Make sure they are wearing practical shoes and no itchy or hard clothing. I will let them take the lead a bit during the session. As an example, if they're needing a little break, I will simply take that opportunity to capture some shots of mom and dad alone. I will then find a fun little game to play to ease them back into pictures.

AFTER the SESSION

You can expect a sneak peek within 2-3 days of your session. These will either be posted to my photography Facebook page or directly to you, depending on your preference. Then you will receive your gallery within 2 weeks. All galleries are sent online, and you are able to save your pictures directly from the gallery to whatever device you choose. If you need help navigating the gallery, I'm here to help!

Cancellations/Rescheduling

I understand that things come up, therefore I allow you to reschedule your session twice. I ask that you give 48 hours' notice unless it's an emergency or illness.

Rescheduling due to bad weather: Sometimes rain and bad weather happen. I will work with you to find a new date that is suitable for both of us. 

How will I receive my pictures?

You will receive an email with a link to your online gallery (within 2 weeks). From there, you can download your images to whatever device you would like. If you receive your gallery and you aren't sure how to download, give me a call and I will walk you through it.

If you need your images sooner than 2 weeks, please let me know ahead of time so that I can accommodate you.

Can I also get the unedited pictures?

I do not give unedited images for any reason. The unedited images are not a proper representation of my work and require a special software to even open them. I choose the best images from your session and immediately delete the others. The images I delete are generally test shots or blinking unattractive shots.
